When it comes time to upgrade to a new version of SOLIDWORKS, it is recommended that all the data from the previous versions be upgraded to the current version. This task can easily be automated with SOLIDWORKS Task Scheduler. This tool is included with all versions of SOLIDWORKS. Files last saved in SOLIDWORKS 2013 or newer can be selected and then schedule a time when the computer is not being used so the software can perform these tasks. Thousands of files can be converted overnight. That is not all; Task Scheduler has many other tools, such as Update files, to analyze how an upgrade would affect the files, Create Drawings or eDrawings, Update Simulation results and Render and Animation. Make sure you take advantage of this time-saving tool.
