Civil 3D .dwg files commonly have entities created on top of other entities and this can cause problems when trying to select a specific object. For instance, an alignment can be created from a polyline and a feature line can be created from an alignment. This results in three objects directly on top of each other. Selection Cycling helps you filter out the exact object you want to work with.
