That Four-Minute Friday focused on one of the tools available down in the lower right hand menu bar on the interface. This menu bar contains a lot of toggles and tools that are useful as you draft and design in your 3D model.

Selection Cycling in Civil 3D

In this week’s Four Minute Friday you will learn how to use Selection Cycling to filter multiple entities. Civil 3D .dwg files commonly have entities created on top of other entities and this can cause problems when trying to select a specific object. For instance, an alignment can be created from a polyline and a feature line can be created from an alignment. This results in three objects directly on top of each other. Selection Cycling helps you filter out the exact object you want to work with.
